Master Class with  Marina Eglevsky s

Marina Eglevsky, the daughter of the late, great Neck York City Ballet star André Eglevsky, founder of Long Island’s Eglevsky Ballet, will teach a Master Class on Monday, December 14 at 10:30 am at the Herricks Community Center in New Hyde Park. The fee is $20 per person.

Marina Eglevsky, who has taught dance for more than 30 years, brings a lifetime of passion and art to her teaching. Her unique teaching style incorporates expertise gained during her professional dance career with therapeutic skills based on Western and Eastern alternative healing modalities.

Marina Eglevsky’s December 14 Master Class is being offered in conjunction with the Eglevsky Ballet’s 2009 production of the beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker, which will be presented for four full-length performances from December 19 to December 21 at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts (C.W. Post Campus, Long Island University, Brookville). Tickets are $60, $50 and $35 (seniors: $57, $47, $32). For information or group discounts, call (516) 299-3100.

Strings Master Class with Enso String Quartet
Call Islip Arts Council for Application. Selected student musicians through grade 12 attending school in Nassau and Suffolk County will have the opportunity to perform for celebrated musicians appearing as guest artists with the Chamber Music Series of the Islip Arts Council – noted for over 30 years’ of excellence.  This is an invaluable opportunity to work with some of the world's finest musicians. Participation is limited and requires a teacher recommendation. We look forward to working with you and your students.  All Master Classes will be held at the East Islip Public Library at 7 PM.  They are part of our ongoing Discover Music Series
