Transfiguration Ensemble

The season opens on January 4th at the Carriage House at Bayard Cutting Arboretum with a concert by the Transfiguration Ensemble. Song-A Cho and Sarah Kim, violinists, Michael Larco, violist, Robert Burkhart, cellist, Molly Morkoski, pianist, and Hana Kim, clarinetist, have joined together to provide their audiences with a opportunity to hear rarely-performed chamber music. All of these young musicians have won awards and higher degrees in Music Performance, many at SUNY Stony Brook, and are active teachers and recitalists. Their exciting program will include Schumann¹s Piano Quintet in E-Flat Major, two pieces for String Quartet by Ernest Bloch and Jean Francaix¹ Quintet for Clarinet and Strings.
