About The Event

The Salute to the Armed Forces of the USA Philharmonic Free Concert at Heckscher State Park in East Islip has become the largest public event on Long Island. Tens of thousands return each year to enjoy what has become a Long Island tradition. Others experience one of the world's greatest orchestras for the first time. For all of these Long Islanders, the night is truly magical.

Suggested arrival time 6 PM. $10 per car parking fee until 5pm, $10 free-will donation after 5 PM

Directions to Heckscher State Park in East Islip

Driving Directions to
Half Hollow Hills East High School

Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 51 (Deer Park Ave). Drive South on Deer Park Ave to the first traffic light (Half Hollow Hills Rd.). Turn right and proceed on Half Hollow Hills Road bypassing the small intersection alongside the Hill School, and continue to the next intersection and turn right – the road is still called Half Hollow Hills Rd. Proceed to Vanderbilt Parkway, make a right turn on Vanderbilt Parkway. Dive approximately ½ mile to the school. The school will be on the right.
